You think that we've gone, we've left. There were no longer doing this thing called the God facts. We're just. Just on pause, but we're back. We were just on pause. God had us taken in a different direction. That's called obedience. And that's another episode. Coming up. So we welcome. And look you guys back. I hope you guys haven't gone through too many withdrawals from our episodes. This is episode 12 guys, 12 episodes. Can we, I can't believe that we've gone 12 episodes already. I think that deserves some applause. And there's enough of that. So 12 episodes guys, we have beat the 10 episode, a curse on YouTube, Spotify, apple podcasts, wherever you guys listening to this. So it took us awhile, but we have in fact made it to 12. Would that be in sad? We won't go into any delay. We're going to jump right into this. What is the topic today? Episode 12, B yo. B. Yolk. So guys today. And that doesn't mean like buff. No. Not like swole, looking at like us, but being yoked, we're going to look at what that means. Yes. Today we're going to learn what it means to be yoked with God and how to walk beside him in life. Beside that's a key word beside. Amen. Not in front of, or behind. Our core versus like always on these episodes. If you've been following us, we have a kind of a core verse thing, and this is Matthew 11, 28 through 30. Come to me all who labor and are heavy Laden. I will give you rest, take my yoke upon you and learn from me for, I am gentle and lowly in heart. And you will. Find rest for your souls for my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Again, Matthew 11, 28 through 30. So get your Bibles. Get your notebooks. Get your pens. There it is right there. If you can see that, if you're watching, if you're listening, he's holding up the Bible. And pens, notebooks, highlighters. This is an active interactive podcast. We don't want you just to be having your ears tickled. We want you to, study this because this is fruitful. All the word is purposeful, and I hope this helps you guys as it helps us. Levister is 28, 18 28, which we use just for some definitions and some clarity of what that these key words from these verses means. So a Webster's 1828 dictionary. You can download the free app. Is a defined yoke as a device for joining together a pair of draft animals, especially oxen, usually consisting of a crosspiece. With two bow shaped pieces. And in closing the head of an animal. If you want to like search Google, whatever it is, yoke, you'll see. A picture and description of what I just said. And so that being said, we start these podcasts and end these podcasts the same way. And that is with a little bit of prayer. Amen. So I'm going to let Jeremy go ahead and take that. Father God, we just thank you for this opportunity to have a platform to share your word. May everything that we speak, be edifying. I'm a father. God, we pray that the years. The hearing and we pray that the hearts be receiving. May your word go forth today and then days ahead to bring edification and to bring a teaching. In, in our understanding of your word. And so we just say, come have your way. And we just pray these things in Jesus name. Amen. And men. Go ahead. When we're talking about being guilty, there's a really key factor to this being yoked. And that is. They won't just throw two animals in it to be yoked. There was the stronger older yolk. There are oxygen, or the animal that has been seasoned that, that leads the direction. And then they take the untamed or the younger. Oxen or other animal that's going to be working in the field. And it is yoked to the older, more seasoned. Ox or animal and the purpose of it. And so that the younger can learn. What it looks like and feels to step in with. And when we were looking at the scripture, I was thinking about the fact of this is that. Before coming into a relationship with God before having a relationship with Jesus Christ. We really are like untamed wild animals. We have no direction. We're just going wherever we feel like in a, and there's a good scripture to look at what that looks like when we just run wild with however we're feeling. And that can be found in Ephesians to you visions. One through four. So we're going to look at Ephesians two verses one through four. It says, and you, he made alive who were dead in trespasses and sins. In which once walked, according to the course of this world. According to the prince of the power of the air. The spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience. Among whom also we all once conducted ourselves. And the loss of our flesh. Fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind and were by nature. Children are wrath. Just as the others. But God who is rich in mercy. Oh, God, come on now, Bo. A guy who is rich in mercy. Because of his great love. With which he loved us. Okay. So when we look at this, we are in a place and maybe this is where you're at. Where we just run wild. We were running all over the place and it becomes tired. Some overtime. And becomes burdens. And what God does is he takes us and he begins to yoke us. And Damien's going to talk a little bit more about that, but we all need to be. Broken. We all need to be tamed because if you're not yoked with God, you're yoked with the devil. That's it, you may think you're running free. But the truth is the devil gives you just enough room to hang yourself. The devil gives you just enough room to make you think you're in control. Before he pulls a. The yoke upon you. And he yanks you in the direction that he desires for you to go right. And that, That's a very good point. It's the desire of the father, and here. And so he has to break us in order to move and walk. Move us and walk us in his ways. And and if we go to Ephesians two four through 10, it talks about the Jesus is the yoke that connects us. To God. And so two verse four through 10 says, but God. Who was rich in mercy. Because of his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses made us alive. Alive. Alive. Made us alive together with Christ. So there's the yellow. There's that yolk right there. That unit TPS. Together with Christ by grace, you have been saved. Not, you might be not. You could be, you have been saved. Because we chose the yolk ourselves together with Christ and raised us up together and made us sit together. See if you notice guys, a pattern here together, that's purposeful. Raise this up together made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ. Jesus. That in the ages to come, he might show his exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness towards us in Christ. Jesus. For by grace, you have been saved through faith and that of not of yourselves, it is a gift from God. His yoke is a gift not of works. Lest anyone should boast for, we are his workmanship. Created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared. Beforehand that we should walk in them. And so there's together. There's together. There is. You have there's all these conjunctions and these conjoining words of promise. In all throughout that in Christ you have together. There's that's for a purpose, that's a pattern right there. Be, have to be willing to be yoked with God. And that takes submission. It takes obedience. It takes surrendering and submitting to what you think you should be doing in your life. Versus what the word says you need to do to have these promises, to have this yo, to be able to move in. Into that fellowship with the father. And so we want everybody who's listening to this to understand that. It's not about like how many things you can plan out in your day. It's believing in this word. And understanding that w without this word and faith that we have, there's no yolk to be had together with God with Christ. Or in Christ. Yeah. Take that. Yeah. So this yoke that he puts on us, It is a gift from God. And, The thing with this yolk that he puts upon us, it teaches us how to walk with God. It's such a gift to. It says that if you're tired and burdensome, if you're tired and weary, And whether you're walking with God or not walking with God, you're going to find yourself tired at times. Yeah. You're going to find yourself weary because that's the life that we live in. It's the broken sinful nature of the world we live in. And so we need to understand we're all going to go through it. Yeah, it's just a matter of how we go through it. And God gives us this beautiful gift. Yes, he does says it's easy. That it's light. And it says that. Those that are, low in spirit. That he's with us. Yes. Yes. So it's important for us to understand and the beautiful thing that God showed me like a while back was when we're yoked with God and we're learning to walk and step with him. The thing that's beautiful about walking in step with him is that when we start to get ahead of him, The yolk that's upon us. The purpose of the piece of wood that connects the younger to the older is if you start to get ahead, it pulls on the neck, pulls you back. Yes. And if you start to fall behind you alignment exactly until I may. And if you start to fall behind it pulls you back. So there's a stress. So if you're feeling stress, if you're feeling burden, if you're feeling heavy, And, you have a relationship with God. Then, you're not in step, you're not in alignment with where God is telling you to be this yoke that he's put upon us. It doesn't mean that you're not going to go through hardships. It doesn't mean that you're not going to go through things are difficult life. But you will be able to find a peace that surpasses understanding. Yes. And the midst of your sorrow. Amen. Because he yolks us with him to learn, to walk and step with them. Step-by-step. Faith with faith paid the mustard seed, as it says, in other parts of the word. And. And so I hope you guys are getting some value out of this. And it's important to remember that Jesus' invitation is open to everyone. He calls all who labor and are heavy Laden. That heavy Laden is any stress you're having in your day. Any financial issues, any marriages use anything? Exactly. All that stuff is a heavy Laden debt includes every one of us. And so whether our birds are physical, emotional, spiritual, Jesus is ready to give us that rest. As long as we allow him to gently. Put his yoke upon us so we can follow along with him together. Because this is yoke is easy and his burden is light. And and that brings us to the key takeaways here. And man that we really want you guys to focus on key takeaways for today. Get your pens and write this down, go back and study inheritance. I encourage you go deep into the word. So takeaway number one. Let God break you. Ooh. You must be broken to walk in step with him. That's important. I have to go. So step bar. So our key takeaway, number one, let God break you. Yes, that would have break you. Number two. Jesus is the yoke. And the way it's our topic for today, get yoked with God, Jesus as the yoke. That's right. And takeaway number three, learn to walk with God. That's the key. If you find yourself back in your burden, if you find yourself back being heavy Laden. No, that you're out of step with where God's calling you to walk. You have to learn that piece of that's obedience and submission, and we're going to do pieces on those in the future. To go into detail of what that means, how it looks like to do that. Because it can seem foreign. You need to keep listening to this and be like, what are they talking about? And that's why I've encouraged you to get a Bible. If you don't, if you're not in the word then go into the word, going through a dictionary, learn what yoked is, learn what it means in the natural sense. And then see what it says in the spiritual sense. And then combine the two. Cause sometimes the visual representation will help you. So getting like a Bible dictionary or a picture. Representation of this is why Jesus used metaphors, so that the physical could lead to an understanding of the spirit, he knew. He knew nobody was going to understand what he was saying, unless he used what he saw around him. And unless you're a farmer, most of us don't know what a yoke is. Exactly. Got to look it up and understand the time of where and who he was speaking to why? Oh. K E not Y O L K. Yeah. Big difference. And that's, again, brings us to the end of this year episode and, We just want to thank you guys, for it's good to be back for true to sticking with it. It's going to be back and we'll be back. Surely. And so for new freethinkers and fact finders, there's a little bit more for you to take away from this episode. I'm being yoked. Continue to reread the scriptures mentioned in this episode, we're to focus on. Matthew 1128. Come to me all who are labor and heavy Laden. I will give you rest, take my yoke upon you and learn from your frame, gentle and lowly in heart. And you will find rest for tomorrow. And their souls. My yoke is easy. I married in his light. Light guys. That's not. It doesn't mean you're supposed to feel like a brick, a ton of bricks is on you. Amen. They're actually quite the opposite. Being yoked in the world can feel heavy, but yoked in Christ feels light. I imagine he takes it with him. He took it at the cross. He takes the burden part. He took it at the cross and that's what it is. And all we see God in his word and how to build these in your life, don't forget to pray for the breakthrough. What do we always say all throughout the Bible? Prayer is your weapon. Amen prayers, how you hear from God.
